A TALENTED actor from Stevenage spent five hours in the makeup chair for his latest movie. Tim Daniel Clark, 29, of Longfields in Stevenage, is starring as the lead mutant in the adventure sci-fi thriller The Mutant Chronicles (film write up) which has been released at Cineworld in Stevenage. The film is set in a post apocalyptic future where natural resources are running out. Tim said: "There's a war and four corporations are trying to take control of what is left and during a battle between two of the corporations they unlock a seal which releases a hoard of mutants." The actor who helps run a drama and film school in Stevenage called Dreams Unlimited (and Oi! Films!), spent two months filming scenes on the Isle of Man with top Hollywood actors such as Sean Pertwee, John Malkovich, Devon Aoki and Ron Perlman. |

"It was great," Tim said. "Every day was fun because I was playing a creature in every scene or killing someone or being killed." The downside for Tim, however, was spending five hours in the makeup chair every day. He said: "It wasn't fun. I was in at 4am to get full body makeup and wasn't on set until midday!" Although Tim has appeared in a number of low budget films, The Mutant Chronicles which was released at Cineworld in Stevenage last week was the first major film he appeared in. "Sci-fi and horror films are so much fun," he said. "It means I can combine martial arts, which I initially trained in, with acting." Tim is currently in talks with Simon Hunter, the director of The Mutant Chronicles, about appearing in a similar film and being involved with the sequel to The Mutant Chronicles. "Our budget was £1million and it's made enough money to warrant a sequel," he said. "It feels pretty good to prove the film critics wrong. "When you have worked hard on something for so long it's nice to have people say they like it." |
